The owners of Distinct Landscapes, Kurt and John will assist you along every step during the landscape process.  Whether it be a simple foundation planting or a master plan, we will help you in achieving your landscaping goals. Our services feature landscape installation of large trees and shrubs, patios, walkways, retaining walls, fountains, ponds, waterfalls and low voltage landscape lighting.<br /><br /><img src="images/design.jpg" style="display:block; margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto;"><br /><b>1st Step- Contact</b><br />Your first contact within our company will be through our office manager. At this point, information regarding the type of work you are interested in will be taken.  John will then follow up and schedule a convenient time to meet with you at your home.<br /><br /><b>2nd Step- Consultation</b><br />At the meeting, John will ask you a series of questions regarding what it is that you are envisioning to get the most use and enjoyment out of your outdoor environment. Your yard is the extension of a room of your home. It\'s important to follow the same design principals as if you were decorating the inside of your home. How am I going to use the space, what colors and textures do I see, what kind of materials can be used etc.<br /><br /><b>3rd Step - Design</b><br />John will draw up a landscape design using our computer design software.  It is a great tool, to give you a detailed guide as to how your landscaping project will unfold. During this step, both John and Kurt work together to ensure the correct concept and materials are being implemented in your landscape.  Fees for a landscape design vary based on whether you are looking for a foundation layout or a full master plan. Design costs range from $150-$300. Half of the design deposit is credited towards your landscape installation. Once a plan is finished, a second meeting is set up to go over the plan, may times of which are held at our nursery where you can see and go through all of the materials in person. <br /><br /><b>4th Step- Installation</b><br />Kurt oversees the entire installation process from start to finish. Once an installation is completed, John and Kurt will schedule a walk thru to ensure all aspects of the design have been successfully completed as outlined in the design.<br /><br /><b>5th Step - Our Guarantee</b><br />Our entire staff ranging from office manager, to crew members to our sub contractors are professional, reliable and trustworthy which is one of the many reasons why you will be happy you used Distinct Landscapes, Inc. in your landscape renovation.');

  		$('#content').html('Distinct Landscapes, Inc. was founded by Kurt Fritzges in the Spring of 2000 during his final semester at the University of Maryland. With a Ford pickup truck and a bag full of flyers, Kurt was able to drum up enough business to employ himself fulltime.<br /><br /> John Librizzi spent the fall of 2000 working for Distinct Landscapes, Inc. and finishing his final semester at Maryland. It was in the spring of the following year that John Librizzi became the additional owner of Distinct Landscapes, Inc. Kurt and John received degrees in Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape Design.<br /><br /> Kurt, a Maryland native has worked in the Landscape industry all his life. Prior to graduating from the University of Maryland, Kurt obtained much of his experience working for a handful of established local businesses. A tree farm in Sandy Spring is where he learned to produce mature trees from seedling stock. A local nursery is where he worked with plant material and landscape design. During college Kurt worked for a local firm that specialized in walkways, patios, and retaining walls. Kurt\'s experience has allowed Distinct Landscapes, Inc. to offer a range of products and services.<br /><br /> John, a New Yorker, attended Suny Morrisville and received an associates degree in Horticulture before attending the University of Maryland. John worked all of his middle and high school years as well as winter and summer breaks at a Dee\'s Nursery and Florist, a well known nursery and garden center on Long Island where he worked as the assistant to their landscape designer. John worked in all avenues of the business, from plant material, ponds, fountains, Integrated Pest Management. It is John\'s exceptional customer service and landscape designs that allows Distinct Landscapes, Inc. to give the customer a enjoyable experience throughout the landscape process.<br /><br /> It is through the combined education and work experience of both Kurt and John that they have managed to continue to grow Distinct Landscapes, Inc. year after year. By bringing to the table two unique sides of the industry, Kurt and John have succeeded in offering distinct designs, installation, and exceptional customer service.
